Firefighters responded early yesterday morning at 0112 Hrs for a report
of a structure fire behind Perry Ice Cream on Morgan St. called in by
Rapids 9.
Akron 9-3 went on location with heavy smoke & fire
showing & requested a 2nd alarm. Command reported fire in a 2 story
commercial structure and ordered all crews out for defensive operations.
Clarence
Center (FAST), Clarence, Newstead, Harris Hill, Swormville, Pembroke,
& Indian Falls responded as mutual aid companies to the scene and/or
fill in.
The fire was placed under control in 2 hours 36 minutes.
