Langford MVA/Person Trapped

Langford Firefighters responded this afternoon at 1228 Hrs for a report of a MVA on New Oregon Rd.

Langford 9-2 went on location with a 2 car MVA and extrication required. Command requested Mortons Corners to the scene to assist with extrication & requested Mercy Flight to the scene.

The victim was extricated in 34 minutes

Buffalo Firefighters responded this morning at 0842 Hrs for a report of a structure fire on Cambridge Ave.

Engine 33 went on location with heavy smoke showing from the attic of a 2 1/2 story house. B-43 reported fire in the attic.

The fire was under control in 18 minutes.

Buffalo Firefighters responded yesterday afternoon for a report of a structure fire on W Ferry St.

B-44 went on location reporting a working fire in a 3 story house & further reported fire in the wall on the #2 side 2nd floor. B-56 requested an additional Truck to the scene.

Buffalo Firefighters responded yesterday morning for a report of a structure fire on Oxford Ave.

Ladder 4 went on location with smoke showing from the 2nd floor of a 2 1/2 story house with 2 victims on the 2nd floor porch. Engine 33 reported fire in the kitchen on the 1st floor.

The fire was under control in 21 minutes.

Cleveland Hill Double Fatal Fire

Cleveland Hill Firefighters responded early this morning at 0421 Hrs for a report of a structure fire on Furlong Rd.

Cleveland Hill 9-3 went on location reporting fire showing from the #1 side and declared a working fire. Cleveland Hill 9 assumed command and reported the 1st floor fully involved. Command further reported a 1st floor collapse and ordered defensive operations. Two victims were found inside the residence and pronounced at the scene.

Pine Hill, Forks (RIT), U-Crest, & Rescue responded as mutual aid companies to the scene. Hy-View filled in at Cleveland Hill.

Eggertsville Firefighters responded yesterday evening at 1630 Hrs for a report of a shed fire on N Bailey Ave.

Eggertsville 9 went on location reporting a working fire with exposure to a fence and utility lines.

Buffalo 1 Alarm- Barthel St

Buffalo Firefighters responded early this morning at 0345 Hrs to investigate something burning in the area of Barthel St & Genesee St.

Engine 22 went on location reporting fire in the rear of a 2 story house and requested the balance of the 1st alarm. B-43 reported fire on the 1st floor of the vacant house and Ladder 14 reported fire in the walls up to the roof line.

The fire was under control in 19 minutes.

Buffalo 2 Alarm- Woodlawn Ave

Buffalo Firefighters responded early this morning at 0032 Hrs for a report of a structure fire on Woodlawn Ave with Police reporting people jumping out windows.

Engine 21 went on location with fire showing from a 2 story building. Engine 33 requested an additional 2 & 1 to the scene & B-44 requested the balance of the 2nd alarm to the scene. B-56 reported heavy fire throughout the 2nd floor of the multi family apartment building, ordered defensive operations, & an exposure problem on the #3 side.

The fire was under control in 96 minutes.

City of Tonawanda Working Fire

City of Tonawanda Firefighters responded this evening at 1827 Hrs for a report of a house fire on Longs Ave.

Engine 2 went on location with smoke showing. Car 10 reorted smoke from the rear multiple dwelling & Car 12 requested the primary mutual aid be dispatched. Car 6 reported heavy fire showing on the 1st floor.

Brighton (FAST) responded as the mutual aid company to the scene. Grand Island & North Tonawanda filled in at Headquarters.

The fire was reported out in 61 minutes.

Buffalo Firefighters responded this evening at 1925 Hrs for a report of a structure fire on Bissell Ave.

Engine 33 went on location with fire showing on the 1st floor of a 2 1/2 story house. B--43 reported the house vacant & B-56 reported no extension.

Buffalo 1 Alarm- Peck St

Buffalo Firefighters responded last night at 1743 Hrs for a report of black smoke in the area of the Central Terminal called in by B-43. Engine 22 reported a civilian walk in to their quarters reporting a fire in the area of Ashley St & Peck St.

B-43 went on location reporting a 2 1/2 story vacant house fully involved with no exposure problems and defensive operations.

Newstead 2 Alarm

Newstead Firefighters responded last night at 2117 Hrs for a fire alarm activation at Adesa Car Auctions on Main Rd.

Chiefs were notified enroute of a caller stating there was a car fire in the body shop. Newstead 9 went on location with heavy smoke showing and requested the 2nd alarm.

Akron, Clarence, Wolcottsville, & Clarence Center (FAST) responded as mutual aid companies tot the scene. Crittenden filled in at Newstead Station 1.

The fire was under control in 45 minutes & damages were listed at $150,000 to the building & contents.

Clarence Center Working Fire

Clarence Center Firefighters responded this morning at 0641 Hrs to investigate smoke above Gerties Restaurant on Goodrich Rd.

Clarence Center 9-1 went on location reporting a heavy haze of smoke on the 2nd floor and requested the automatic mutual aid to the scene. Clarence Center 9-1 further reported a confirmed fire in the restaurant.

Clarence & East Amherst (FAST) responded as mutual aid companies to the scene.

The fire was under control in 27 minutes.

Newton Abbott Working Fire

Newton Abbott Firefighters responded last night at 2004 Hrs for a report of a smoke coming from the residence on Milestrip Rd.

Newton Abbott 9 went on location reporting a working fire & further reported fire in the basement of the 1 1/2 story house.

Armor, Big Tree, Blasdell, Scranton, Woodlawm, Windom, Hamburg Air Trailer, & Orchard Park (FAST) responded as mutual aid companies to the scene. Lake Shore filled in at Newton Abbott.

The fire was under control in 53 minutes.

Ellicott Creek Working Fire

Ellicott Creek & Brighton Firefighters responded this morning at 0809 Hrs for a report of a fire alarm activation and an odor of smoke at the Raintree Island Apartments.

Town of Tonawanda Police were on location with smoke showing. Ellicott Creek Engine 2 went on location reporting a working fire. Ellicott Creek 9-1 reported fire on the 2nd floor and contained to the apartment of origin.

City of Tonawanda responded as the FAST Team & Getzville filled in at Ellicott Creek.

East Concord Snowmobile MVA

East Concord Firefighters responded Saturday afternoon for a report of a two smowmobiles in a head on collision on the trails off Genesee Rd near the Fireside Inn.

East Concord 9 went on location requesting 2 Mercy Flight helicopters to the scene. One helicopter was later cancelled and 1 victim was transported by Mercy Flight.

Springville responded as the mutual aid company for their Rescue Sled & Snowmobile.

Snyder 2 Alarm

Snyder Firefighters responded early this morning at 0214 Hrs for a report of a structure fire on Scamridge Curve.

Amherst Police were on location reporting a working fire and hazardous chemical stored at the location. Snyder 9 went on location confirming a working fire on the 2nd floor of a multi unit aartment building.  Command reported heavy fire conditions through the roof and requested the 2nd alarm to the scene.

Eggertsville (FAST) & Williamsville responded as mutual aid companies to the scene. Eggertsville filled in at Snyder & Main Transit filled in at Williamsville.

Buffalo Firefighters responded early this morning at 0447 Hrs for a report of a structure fire on Fillmore Ave.

B-43 went on location with nothing visible from the exterior & Engine 3 reported a fire in the rear apartment. B-56 reported the fire contained to 1 apartment in the rear.

The fire was under control in 19 minutes.

Swormville 2 Alarm

Swormville Firefighters responded this evening at 1835 Hrs for a report of a garage fire on Dodge Rd.

East Amherst Engine 2 & Truck 6 went on location with fire showing from the #1 & #4 sides of the attached garage. East Amherst 9-5 requested the 2nd alarm to the scene. Swormville 9-2 reported the garage attached to a 1 1/2 story house fully involved and an exposure problem on the #4 side.

East Amherst, North Amherst (FAST), & Clarence Center responded as mutual aid companies to the scene. Main-Transit & Clarence provided fill in companies.

The fire was knocked down in about 60 minutes.

Harris Hill Fatal Fire

Harris Hill Firefighters responded this evening at 1951 Hrs for a report of a structure fire with a victim possibly trapped on Sheridan Dr.

Harris Hill 9 went on location reporting a fully involved trailer fire and defensive operations.

One victim was located inside the residence and pronounced at the scene.

East Amherst (FAST) responded as a mutual aid company to the scene. main Transit filled in at Harris Hill.

The fire was knocked down in 25 minutes.

Buffalo Firefighters responded this afternoon at 1633 Hrs for a report of a structure fire on Leroy Ave.

Engine 33 went on location with smoke showing from a 1 story building. B-47 reported fire in a single apartment, a frozen hydrant, and requested an additional Engine & B-56 upgraded the request to an additional 2 & 1. B-56 reported fire in the basement with extension to the 1st floor.

The fire was under control in 77 minutes.

Buffalo Firefighters responded this morning at 0909 Hrs for a report of a chemical burning in the area of Northland Ave.

B-43 went on location reporting black smoke showing from the roof line of a building next to the old American Axle plant. B-43 further reported an oil tank burning, requested an additional Engine & B-56 secial called E-36 L-13 to the scene. B-43 further requested the balance of the 2nd alarm to the scene.

The fire was under control in 59 minutes.

East Aurora Working Fire

East Aurora Firefighters responded this morning at 0846 Hrs for a report of a structure fire on Church St.

Police were on location reporting a victim trapped on the 2nd floor and the structure fully involved. East Aurora 9-4 went on location requesting all units to expedite to the scene, a full compny response from all companies, and further reported the victim extricated from the building.

Jamison Road, Wales Center, South Wales, & Wyoming Correctional Facility responded as mutual aid companies to the scene. Depew filled in at East Aurora, Seneca Hose filled in Jamison Road, Harris Corners filled in at Wales Center, while Holland, Spring Brook, & Orchard Park stood by in their halls.

Buffalo Firefighters responded last night at 2208 Hrs for a report of a structure fire called in by Engine 21 returning from an EMS call on Best St.

Engine 21 was on location reporting smoke showing from the 2nd floor of a 2 1/2 story vacant house & further reported fire on the 1st floor. B-43 reported an exposure problem on the #4 side & Ladder 6 reported the floor joists burned away between the 1st & 2nd floors. B-56 ordered all crews out for defensive operations & further reported fire on the 1st floor with extension throughout the structure. B-56 requested an additional Engine to the scene.

Elma Working Fire

Elma Firefighters responded this morning at 0708 Hrs for a report of a structure fire on Rice Rd.

Erie County Sheriff Deputies were on location reporting a fully involved structure. Jamison Road 9-2 went on location reporting heavy smoke showing from the 1-2 side of the structure. Command further reported fire in the garage with extension to the 2nd floor apartment and defensive operations.

Jamison Road, Spring Brook, Twin District (FAST), Marilla, Wyoming Correctional Facility, Town Line, East Aurora, & East Seneca responded as mutual aid companies to the scene and/or stand by.

Buffalo Firefighters responded this morning at 0636 Hrs to investigate smoke in a house on Poultney Ave.

Engine 23 went on location with nothing visible from the exterior and further reported heavy fire in the attic/crawl space of the residence. B-47 requested the balance of the 1st alarm and further reported fire breaking through the roof at the ridge board on the #2 side.
