Newton Abbott Working Fire

Newton Abbott Firefighters responded yesterday at 1915 Hrs for a report of an apartment fire on North St.

Newton Abbott 9-2 went on location reporting fire in an AC unit with extension inside a 20x20 2 story apartment building.

Armor, Big Tree, Blasdell, Scranton, Windom, Woodlawn, & Orchard Park (FAST) responded as mutual aid companies.

The fire was placed under control in 22 minutes.

Buffalo 1 Alarm- Hempstead Ave

Buffalo Firefighters responded early yesterday morning at 0307 Hrs for a report of a structure fire with a possible victim inside on Hempstead Ave.

Engine 23 went on location with smoke & fire showing from the upper floor. Ladder 14 reported a fully involved kitchen fire. B-56 reported no extension in the 2 story brick multi family building.

The fire was under control in 18 minutes.

Holland Working Fire

Holland Firefighters responded early yesterday morning at 0025 Hrs for a report of a trailer fire in the Three Valley Campground on Olean Rd.

Holland 9-1 went on location reporting a fully involved trailer and requested the Wyoming County Tanker Task Force to the scene. Command further reported a 25ft trailer fully involved with a propane issue & possible exposure problem.

South Wales, Chaffee-Sardinia, Sheldon, & Strykersville responded as mutual aid companies.

The fire was knocked down in 22 minutes.

Buffalo 2 Alarm- Oxford St

Buffalo Firefighters responded early this morning at 0259 Hrs for a report of a structure fire on Oxford St.

Engine 21 went on location with fire on the 2nd floor of a 2 1/2 story house & further reported a possible victim trapped on the 3rd floor. B-56 reported heavy fire on the 2nd floor extending into the attic & requested an additional 1 & 1 to the scene. Rescue 1 reported 1 victim located and extricated with EMS performing CPR. B-56 requested requested the balance of the 2nd alarm & ordered defensive operations.

The fire was placed under control in 1 hour 48 minutes.

Buffalo Fatal 2 Alarm- Regina Pl

Buffalo Firefighters responded yesterday evening at 1753 Hrs for a report of a structure fire on Regina Pl. with reports of possible children still inside the structure.

B-56 requested an additional 1 & 1 to the scene. Engine 23 went on location with fire showing on the #2 side 2nd floor in a 2 1/2 story house. B-56 reported heavy fire conditions on the 2nd floor with extension into the attic. Rescue 1 reported 1 victim found and rescued. B-56 requested the balance of the 2nd alarm for relief to the scene.

The fire was placed under control in 27 minutes. the victim was later pronounced at an area hospital.

Buffalo 1 Alarm- Military Rd

Buffalo Firefighters responded early this morning at 0014 Hrs to investigate a 911 hang up on Military Rd. The assignment was upgraded following a return phone call.

Engine 19 went on location with heavy fire showing on the 2nd floor rear of a 2 1/2 story occupied house & all occupants out. B-56 reported an exposure problem on the #4 side & extension into the attic.

The fire was placed under control in 27 minutes.

Buffalo Firefighters responded early this morning at 0221 Hrs for a report of a structure fire on Sweeney St.

Engine 21 went on location with heavy fire in the rear of a 2 story house. B-43 reported the roof sagging in the rear & B-56 ordered all crews out of the building for defensive operations.
The fire was placed under control in 28 minutes.

Alden Fatal MVA

Alden Firefighters responded this morning at 0958 Hrs for a report of an injury accident at County Line Rd & North Rd.

Alden 9-2 went on location reporting a 2 car MVA with 4 victims & extrication required for 2 victims. Command further requested Mercy Flight to the scene.

Millgrove responded as the mutual aid company to assist with Mercy Flight.

The victim s were extricated in 41 minutes. One victim was later pronounced at a local hospital.

Doyle 2 Alarm Fire

Doyle Firefighters responded this afternoon to investigate smoke in the basement on Willowlawn Pkwy called in by Doyle 2 9-1.

Doyle 2 9-1 reported a basement fire and requested the 2nd alarm mutual aid to the scene.

South Line, Sloan, Rescue, & Bellevue  were the mutual aid companies.

The fire was quickly knocked down and all mutual aid companies were put back in service.

Bellevue Working Fire

Bellevue Firefighters responded this afternoon at 1209 Hrs for a fire alarm activation with a follow up call reporting something burning on the counter at Community Services on Union Rd.

South Line 9-1 went on location reporting a sprinkler activation and a room on fire. Command declared a working fire in the unoccupied building.

South Line & Forks responded as mutual aid companies to the scene. Doyle provided fill in at Bellevue.

The fire was knocked down in 15 minutes.

Engine 31 went on location reporting a roof fire in a 2 story vacant school. B-56 reported no extension and special called E36 & L13 to the scene for decontamiation due to asbestos in the building.

Buffalo Firefighters responded early this morning at 0121 Hrs for a report of a structure fire at Northland Ave & Winchester Ave.

Engine 33 went on location with heavy fire showing from a large commercial building & B-43 requested a 2nd alarm to the scene. E33 further reported the structure as a vacant dangerous & B-43 ordered defensive operations. B-56 reported the exposure on the #4 side fully involved as well.

Engine 21 went on location with smoke showing from a 2 1/2 story house. B-44 reportedheavy smoke conditions throughout the 1st floor & fire on the 1st floor.

Swormville Firefighters responded this morning at 0831 Hrs for a report of a MVA on Transit Rd.

Swormville 9-1 went on location with a car vs motorcycle MVA, requested Transit Rd to be closed off, & reported a trauma code.

The victim was transported to a local hospital and was pronounced.

Newton Abbott 2 Alarm

Newton Abbott Firefighters responded early this morning at 0104 Hrs for a fire alarm activation at the Olive Garden on McKinley Pkwy.

Newton Abbott 9-3 went on location reporting fire showing through the roof and requested the 2nd alarm mutual aid. Command reported heavy fire conditions, ordered defensive operations, and further reported a possible roof collapse.

Big Tree, Scranton, Armor, Hamburg, Woodlawn, Orchard Park (FAST), Seneca Hose, Lake Shore, Lake View, Windom, Reserve, Vigilant, North Boston, Highland Hose, & Evans Center responded as mutual aid companies and/or stanby companies.
The fire was under control in 5 hrs 16 minutes.

Buffalo Firefighters responded early this morning at 0135 Hrs for a report of a structure fire called in by B-56 while in command of the Townsend St fire and requested the 1st alarm to the scene.

B-56 reported fire in the rear of a 2 1/2 story into a 1 story house. Command reported no extension.

The fire was under control in 30 minutes.
