Newstead Firefighters responded this morning at 1105 Hrs for a report of a chimney fire on Hiller Rd.

9-4 went on location with heavy smoke showing from the roof and a full
2nd alarm was requested to the scene. Command reported heavy fire in the
attic and defensive operations were ordered.
Akron, Clarence
Center, Clarence, Swormville (FAST), Millgrove, Crittenden,
Bowmansville, Pembroke, Corfu, Darien, & Indian Falls responded as
mutual aid companies to the scene. Town Line filled in at Millgrove,
Harris Hill filled in Akron, Wolcotsville filled in at Newstead, &
Alden was on standby in their hall.
