Town
of Tonawanda & Kenmore Firefighters responded yesterday evening at
1753 Hrs to a District 1 Class 1 alarm of fire at FMC Corporation on
Sawyer Ave.
Sheridan Park 9 went on location with reports of fire
in a room with the fire door closed & sprinkler system activated.
Command requested Brighton Hazmat to the scene as a precaution. Command
also requested a 2nd alarm to the scene for manpower.
Ellwood,
Brighton, Sheridan Park, River Road, Kenilworth, Kenmore, City of
Tonawanda (FAST), Grand Island (FAST), Eggertsville, Ellicott Creek,
North Bailey, & Snyder responded as mutual aid companies to the
scene and/or fill in.
The fire was reported out in 1 hour 32 minutes.
